Posted by Anonymous on 2015/05/06 under Uncategorized About a week ago I got a cold and didn’t eat very much for three days. When my cold went away and I started feeling hungry again I searched the kitchen for something to eat and I didn’t really feel like eating any of the foods that I normally eat. It wasn’t that I didn’t feel hungry I just didn’t feel like eating any of those particular foods. My mom always does the shopping and she knows what I like (or what I used to like) but I can’t bring myself to eat them and then she complains to me that I normally like them so if I’m hungry I should eat the things she bought. My previous habit of eating was quite simple, I ate when I got hungry. In my family we don’t have set meal times we just eat when we feel like it. I usually eat quite a lot but I’m the average weight for my age (I’m 15). I was trying to lose weight but it looks like it’ll be easier now because I’m not eating as much. Does anyone know why I don’t like the foods I used to? Again, I’ll say that I still feel hungry the same amount I used to.
It could be something (such as hormones) changes in your body. I’m sure you heard about food cravings. They are signs that one’s body needs a certain type of vitamin or nutrient. So the reverse can be said about your situation. Maybe your body now needs different nutrients / vitamins so you no longer like your once favourite food. But pay attention to what you want to eat. Maybe your body needs those new favourites to maintain a balance.
Thanks for the advice, I’ll try eating something different.
